Here is the link for the classical music I used from YouTube. It has a creative commons license that states its reusable. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wNYcqj8A1Tg
Overall feeling about my final draft: Approaching this final draft and recieving comments from my group members and especially Kyle made me sort of regroup my strategy. Kyle stated that I spent too much time talking about the music I used and how I wasn’t copyrighting it instead of actually telling a cohesive audio story. Giving that, I swept the slate clean and made new audio footage frankly with new classical music as well (don’t worry, it had a CC license). I had to envision story elements of beginning, middle, and end to make it cohesive. I decided to use a narration and conclusion for an interview I did in the middle. Now it was a story that clearly had 3 distinguishable components that you can clearly recognize. I started out with an introduction of me and what this audio footage was going to entail (sort of a preview). Secondly, then comes a quick transition to the interview where I ask myself questions about why I love classical music and when I like to listen to it. I tried to contrast my voices from the interviewer to the interviewee. I used the razor tool to cut out some long silences or too quick of transitions from section to section. Also in all my clips, after I was done talking, I would let the music play out for a couple seconds to really strike a mood of the interview. I think my duration lasted right in between 1 and 2 minutes so like a minute and a half. Keeping the classical music at a low level throughout me talking was just perfect because it matched my tone of talking but didn’t overwhelm you from hearing what I said, rather the music made what I was saying more engaging. Although when I wasn’t talking I really tried to emphasize the music and at the very end of the story I slowly drop the volume down so it is not such an abrupt ending.
Overall I really though I put the work in this week to make this a well done product. I really had to scrap my rough draft and be honest with myself about how I should approach this. I appreciated all your guys’ feedback and I hope the result matches the effort I put in.
